Pricing FAQ

The fine print, in plain English.

What happens when the trial ends?
Your workspace pauses and cadences stop running. Your sources, drafts, and brand profile stay put; subscribe from settings whenever you're ready to resume generation.
Is there a draft cap?
No monthly cap. Kiln does enforce per-workspace rate limits (per hour and per day) as an operational guard against runaway costs and scripted abuse — set well above any realistic single-user pattern. If you're consistently bumping into them, talk to us and we'll re-tune.
What does "bring your own AI key" mean?
Optional: from settings, save your OpenAI API key. When set, all generation for that workspace routes through your key (billed to your OpenAI account) instead of Kiln's. Same $39/mo subscription either way — BYOK is a setting, not a separate plan.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from the billing card in settings. You keep access through the end of the current billing period; nothing is deleted when the subscription ends.
Where is my provider key stored?
Encrypted at rest, only decrypted in memory at the moment we generate a draft for you. Never written to logs and never shown back to you in the UI.
Refunds?
Email hello@usekiln.app and we'll sort it. The first 14 days are the trial, so by the time you're paying you've had a fair look at the product.
