Pricing FAQ
The fine print, in plain English.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Your workspace pauses and cadences stop running. Your sources, drafts, and brand profile stay put; pick a plan from settings whenever you're ready to resume generation.
- When should I pick BYOK over Solo?
- If you generate more than ~50 drafts a month, or you want generation costs billed to your own OpenAI account for finance or audit reasons. BYOK gives you the same product, just routed through your OpenAI key.
- What counts as a draft?
- One row in the review inbox. If a cadence is set to produce 3 variants per run, that run uses 3 drafts from your monthly cap. Regenerating an existing draft doesn't count; you stay on the same row.
- Can I switch between plans?
- Yes, from the billing card in settings. Switching Solo → BYOK takes effect immediately; the next cadence run uses your key.
- Where is my OpenAI key stored?
- It's encrypted at rest and only decrypted in memory at the moment we generate a draft for you. It's never written to logs and never shown back to you in the UI.
- Refunds?
- Email hello@usekiln.app and we'll sort it. The first 14 days are the trial, so by the time you're paying you've had a fair look at the product.
